Free mental health support helpline

In March 2020, we set up a free mental health support helpline as we saw the need for accessible mental health supportTMS Telephone Advice during the early stages of the coronavirus pandemic. Our Practitioners were also unable to deliver TMS treatment during the early lockdowns whilst the clinics were closed but they still wanted to offer their expertise to reach people who needed a little extra support.

Our helpline allows callers to contact us and book up to 5 sessions with one of our practitioners to discuss advice and tips on managing their mental health. Activities such as how to manage your anxiety and de-catastrophise, how to complete a gratitude diary and how to prevent relapse are included the sessions and personalised to each individual caller.

The helpline is still available today and sessions can be booked by calling 020 3855 4578 to set up your first session and discuss your individual needs. The number is available Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm, if the line is busy, please leave a message and we will get back in touch.

Our practitioners have really enjoyed being able to offer this service, here is what they have to say about the helpline.

Lorelei, Birmingham

I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of our Mental Health Support Line. It is a privilege to be able to help and support people who are going through challenging times. It has also been great to see how simple wellness techniques can have had such a positive impact and improve people’s mental well-being. To have been able to touch the lives of so many people through our support line has been wonderful and it has been astounding seeing the journey of someone from their first session all the way through until their final session. Everyone goes through challenging times in their life and it is so important to reach out if you are struggling as there is support available and a listening ear.

London Practitioner

Being part of the Smart TMS support line has further highlighted to me how one’s, psychological and social elements of life are impacted by mental health. Being able to positively impact someone’s wellbeing via CBT-related approaches has been great experience that I have been able to be a part of as I have been able to provide support to many people across the UK. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you are struggling with your mental health, at Smart TMS we provide a listening ear, as well as support to help your wellbeing.

Josh, Hampshire

Everyone I have spoken to whilst call handling has been very thankful and grateful that during this stressful time, there has been someone they can speak to for free for help and support. I am proud to be part of this service and be able to help others when they are in need.

Our callers have also left some great feedback for the service.

“The Practitioner has helped me when I needed help and has been non-judgmental and managed to calm me down when I have not been in a good way, she and this service has just been a god send during this crisis”.

“I’ve just spoken to them myself and they’re really lovely they arrange a call-back session on the same day and then you can have up to x5 sessions, one a week for up to x5 weeks for free which is such a bonus when iTalk’s NHS service struggle to see anyone in such a short space of time”.
