Earlier in the year, we introduced our FREE prescriber training course aimed at educating psychiatrists about TMS treatment and how to prescribe a course of transcranial magnetic stimulation so they can consider it for their patients.
The course covers;
- TMS treatment parameters
- TMS contraindications and side effects
- Clinical considerations
- Practical session in clinic
The course takes a total of 5 hours to complete, with one hour in clinic for a practical session with one of our Practitioners. The course is FREE and a certificate of completion will be supplied once the training is complete.
We have already had a lot of interest in the course and are in the process of training a number of psychiatrists. This is what one recently trained Dr had to say;
“I completed the Smart TMS Prescriber Training recently and found the content to be excellent. The training is 1:1 and was easy to fit in with my diary. Despite having a pretty good knowledge of the topic already, I gained a lot from the first-hand experience of Pegah, the practitioner who delivered the training. The session in clinic was particularly interesting, experiencing TMS for myself as well as gaining a better understanding of the importance of coil placement and protocol selection. Pegah was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and was able to answer almost all of my questions. My session with Leigh, Medical Director and consultant psychiatrist, rounded the training off very well, filling in any blanks. Highly recommended”.
