Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation is NICE approved, and the most recent update to NICE Guidelines (NG 222) state that for the treatment of mild and moderate depressive disorders rTMS is recommended if psychological and pharmacological treatment is either ineffective or is not wanted by the patient.
