The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) in the UK have just approved rTMS as an effective and safe method of treating depression in the UK.
The guidelines do not specify the type of rTMS treatment, which means that both conventional and theta burst can be used.
The private medical insurers will now need to seriously consider including this treatment in their policies.
