TMS Practitioner, Manchester
(Currently on Maternity Leave)

Abie completed her Psychology BSc at Lancaster University before going on to study for her Masters in Developmental Disorders, for which she was awarded a certificate of distinction.

She has worked with N-Compass Northwest, an organisation which provides advocacy and carer support, and has experience in peer mentoring within projects supporting disaffected youth. Abie has also facilitated support groups for mental wellbeing, which helps her to build strong, supportive relationships with her patients.

When not in the clinic, Abie enjoys going for long walks with her dog, which only involves 20% walking and 80% drinking tea in dog friendly cafès!

Abie is based at our Manchester TMS Clinic.


TMS Practitioner, South Kensington, London

Athana completed her Psychology BSc undergraduate degree at Queen Mary University of London, where she developed a keen interest in using innovative psychological therapies to treat mental health conditions. She pursed her interest by completing her MSc in Mental Health: Psychological Therapies at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. She has worked in a variety of mental health settings, including mentoring at-risk young adults, facilitating group therapy workshops for older adults at Mind, and participated in various research projects as a research assistant.

In her free time, Athana enjoys watching crime documentaries, reading books (especially those written by John Grisham), and going for long walks!

Athana is based at our South Kensington TMS Clinic.


TMS Practitioner, Manchester

Ben completed a BSc (Hons) in Psychology at the University of Liverpool, where he studied a variety of modules including Neuropsychology and the Psychology of Severe Mental illness. After graduating, Ben completed a MSc in Psychology at Manchester Metropolitan University, where his research project focused on the link between Anxiety Disorders and Memory. From his four years of University study, he gained valuable theoretical understanding of multiple mental health conditions.

Through his voluntary work with adults with additional whilst at school, he gained early experience of how to help people with mental health challenges. During his previous employment, Ben worked as a Healthcare worker in psychiatric hospitals, working with patients with severe mental illness and behaviours that challenge. From his previous roles, he gained vital experience of delivering high quality patient care in his role as a TMS Practitioner.

In his free time, Ben loves watching films, long distance running, and giving his dog too much attention.


TMS Practitioner, Bristol

Harpreet, or Vinny to his friends and family, completed a BSc in Psychology at the University of East Anglia before going on to complete a MSc in Applied Clinical Psychology at the University of Bath. He has worked in a variety of different settings, in a range of roles, with his most recent experience being in a specialist psychiatric hospital, where he supported detained patients struggling with mental health disorders. Vinny studied rTMS in his degrees and particularly enjoys supporting his patients throughout the course of treatment.

In his spare time, Vinny is a big fan of cinema, with his favourite film being Pan’s Labyrinth by Guillermo del Toro.

TMS Practitioner, Dublin

Eoin completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology at Dublin City University, during which he completed an internship at Our Lady’s Childrens Hospital, Crumlin, where his main project was a review of Post-Concussion Syndrome. After graduating, he spent time working as a Youth Worker at Covenant House, Vancouver before beginning his master’s degree in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Groningen, graduating with distinction. He conducted his master thesis on TMS and whether it could improve cognitive abilities among Schizophrenia patients.

Working as a TMS practitioner allows him to combine his keen interest in neuroscience with his passion for helping people. In his spare time, he enjoys playing sport and exploring the outdoors.

Eoin is based at our Dublin clinic.


TMS Practitioner, Birmingham

Lorelei-Jane completed a Psychology BSc (Hons) at the University of Birmingham, studying a variety psychological, cognitive and biological topics including neuroimaging and neurostimulation techniques, neurodevelopmental disorders and used TMS in her dissertation research into Autism and Schizophrenia. Lorelei-Jane is passionate about mental health and ensuring every patient receives the very best care.

Through her role as a mental health first aider and Special Constable she has gained invaluable knowledge and experience in providing care and support to individuals with a variety of mental health conditions. Thus, ensuring patients have the best possible care when visiting Smart TMS.

In her free time Lorelei-Jane enjoys watching movies, reading and going to theme parks.

Lorelei-Jane is based at our Birmingham TMS Clinic.

Lindy Burke

TMS Practitioner, Edinburgh

Lindy completed her BSc in Psychology, Visual Arts, and Asian Studies at the State University of New York at New Paltz before completing her MSc in Mental Health Psychology at the University of Edinburgh.

Lindy has a varied background in the mental health field, where she has worked as a Behaviour Intervention Specialist, ABA Therapist, Medical Caseworker, and Swimming Coach for Vulnerable Youth. Lindy’s research primarily investigates the relationship between self-belief and positive behavioural change, and her passion for encouraging self-esteem and overall wellness is reflected in her patient-centred, holistic approach to mental health care.

Lindy loves playing sports, painting, and hiking around Scotland.

Lindy is based at our Edinburgh TMS clinic.


TMS Practitioner, Golders Green

Rio’s childhood curiosity in the human brain and behaviour led her to study Psychology at the University of Glasgow. She developed a particular interest in the neuroscience behind mental disorder development and treatment. In her final year, she worked as an intern in a mental health research study investigating biological markers for First Episode Psychosis in the preclinical stages, for the purposes of early intervention. She then completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Sciences at University College London, to deepen her understanding of mental health problems and the interventions provided to address them. This gave her an insight into the growing evidence base for TMS in mental health treatment.

Alongside her postgraduate studies, Rio worked in various mental health units supporting people with a wide range of conditions, including Psychosis, Addictions, Eating Disorders and Brain Injuries.

In her free time, Rio loves hiking, snowboarding and learning about space and the stars!

Rio is based at our Golders Green clinic, London.


TMS Practitioner, South Kensington, London

Sarah originally hails from California, but has a deep love of London and the UK (and its weather!) and has lived here twice before. She completed a Psychology BA (First Class Honours) in California, where her thesis compared treatments of trauma in veteran populations. After university, she was the lead practitioner of a TMS clinic in Oregon and was the first practitioner in the state to conduct OCD treatment. Sarah then worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs researching suicide prevention.

Sarah recently moved back to London to pursue an MSc in War & Psychiatry at King’s College London. Sarah is passionate about neuromodulation and mental health conditions affecting military members and veterans.

In her free time, Sarah enjoys eating extremely spicy food, exploring London, doing hot yoga, reading, cooking, and petting every dog possible.
