Aisha

Lead TMS Practitioner, South Kensington, London

Having recently completed a Masters in Psychiatric Research, Aisha is keen to encourage innovative new treatments for mental health conditions. She has delivered talking therapies for patients with a wide range of conditions and volunteered for charities all over the world with the aim of improving the well-being of others.

As Lead Practitioner, Aisha’s main focus is on patient care. The most fulfilling aspect of being a practitioner is witnessing first-hand the tremendous growth that our patients experience as they overcome their condition and improve their overall quality of life.

She believes that the foundation of great care starts with the small aspects and supports her team to ensure every patient of Smart TMS leaves feeling listened and valued.

Aisha is based at our London TMS Clinic.

April-Rose

Senior TMS Practitioner, South Kensington, London

April is our senior practitioner, having completed her Psychology BSc at the University of Southampton and Clinical Psychology MSc at the University of Reading. She has worked as an assistant psychologist at the Queen Elizabeth and a mental health advocacy mentor and finds the supportive aspect of her role with Smart TMS to be the most rewarding.

April is qualified to train all new practitioners to administer TMS and regularly travels the country to support each of her team in their own clinics.

In her spare time, April loves the adrenaline of theme park rides and is a big animal lover.

April is based at our London TMS Clinic.

Abi

TMS Practitioner, Manchester

Abie completed her Psychology BSc at Lancaster University before going on to study for her Masters in Developmental Disorders, for which she was awarded a certificate of distinction.

She has worked with N-Compass Northwest, an organisation which provides advocacy and carer support, and has experience in peer mentoring within projects supporting disaffected youth. Abie has also facilitated support groups for mental wellbeing, which helps her to build strong, supportive relationships with her patients.

When not in the clinic, Abie enjoys going for long walks with her dog, which only involves 20% walking and 80% drinking tea in dog friendly cafès!

Abie is based at our Manchester TMS Clinic.

Josh

TMS Practitioner, Havant

Having graduated from the University of Winchester in 2015 with a first class honours in BSc Psychology degree, Josh went on to volunteer with young people on the autistic spectrum, before heading to India and Malaysia to help provide much needed support for mental health conditions in local communities.

Since returning to the UK, Josh has worked as a mental health support worker in Bournemouth and is especially passionate about how fitness and a healthy lifestyle can benefit those suffering from mental health conditions, such as depression and PTSD.

In his spare time, Josh takes part in a Karting championship!

Josh is based at our Havant TMS Clinic.

Harpreet

TMS Practitioner, Bristol

Harpreet, or Vinny to his friends and family, completed a BSc in Psychology at the University of East Anglia before going on to complete a MSc in Applied Clinical Psychology at the University of Bath. He has worked in a variety of different settings, in a range of roles, with his most recent experience being in a specialist psychiatric hospital, where he supported detained patients struggling with mental health disorders. Vinny studied rTMS in his degrees and particularly enjoys supporting his patients throughout the course of treatment.

In his spare time, Vinny is a big fan of cinema, with his favourite film being Pan’s Labyrinth by Guillermo del Toro.

Harpreet is based at our Bristol TMS Clinic.

Emily

TMS Practitioner, Edinburgh

Emily graduated from the University of Chester with a First Class BSc (Hons) in Psychology in 2018. Throughout her degree, she developed a keen interest in clinical neuropsychology. A desire to understand the workings of the brain at a deeper level, and how this can be applied to patient care, prompted her to pursue an MscR in Integrative Neuroscience at the University of Edinburgh, which she has just recently completed. Alongside her studies, Emily has volunteered as a ward helper in neurology and orthopaedics departments, and an ICU receptionist. She also spent time doing neurosurgical shadowing at The Walton Centre.

In her spare time, Emily enjoys acting and works as a film and tv extra!

Emily is based at our Edinburgh TMS Clinic.

Lea

TMS Practitioner, Leeds

Lea has a BSc in Psychology from the University of Manchester and is currently completing her MSc in Applied Neuropsychology at the University of Bristol.

As a passionate mental health advocate, she has previously been involved in service evaluation research relating to homeless people’s access to mental health services. She also has experience working with children in schools, and adults affected by brain injuries, substance misuse, and dementia.

In her spare time, Lea enjoys travelling and being outdoors.

Lea is based at our Leeds TMS Clinic.

Lorelei-Jane 

TMS Practitioner, Birmingham

Lorelei-Jane completed a Psychology BSc (Hons) at the University of Birmingham, studying a variety psychological, cognitive and biological topics including neuroimaging and neurostimulation techniques, neurodevelopmental disorders and used TMS in her dissertation research into Autism and Schizophrenia. Lorelei-Jane is passionate about mental health and ensuring every patient receives the very best care.

Through her role as a mental health first aider and Special Constable she has gained invaluable knowledge and experience in providing care and support to individuals with a variety of mental health conditions. Thus, ensuring patients have the best possible care when visiting Smart TMS.

In her free time Lorelei-Jane enjoys watching movies, reading and going to theme parks.

Lorelei-Jane is based at our Birmingham TMS Clinic.

Pegah

TMS Practitioner, London City

Pegah completed her Psychology BSc undergraduate degree at the University of Westminster, where she gained an interest in the core elements of what guides human behaviour. Following her undergraduate degree, she went on to study for her MSc in Neuroimaging at King’s College London, where she developed an insight into how neuromodulation methods have been using in the clinical field. Following a keen interest in neuromodulation, she then went on to study for her PhD at the University of East London, where she used TMS methods throughout her research to target different areas of the brain during robotic reaching. During her time as a PhD student, Pegah attended conferences, published papers, and delivered lectures on TMS in order to develop awareness of it as a method.

In her free time, she enjoys making Cheesecakes, and baking Swiss rolls!
