TMS prescriber training for professionals

rTMS Treatment Equipment

Our free prescriber training course, continues to grow in popularity as we train more psychiatrists, psychologists and GPs in the prescribing of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). Since we started the course, we have trained a number of professionals, providing certificates of completion for the following modules, covering a total of 5 hours of professional development;

  • TMS treatment parameters
  • TMS contraindications and side effects
  • Clinical considerations
  • Practical session in clinic

Here is what a couple of recent graduates of the course had to say…

“I have recently completed training regarding rTMS via a trainer for Smart TMS. I am pleased to say that I found it really interesting and stimulating. The trainer was very keen, motivated and friendly. I have learnt a lot from her. I fully recommend this training for psychiatrists to learn about a new non-invasive modality of treatment which has the potential to change patient’s lives”.

“I found Smart TMS’ Prescriber Training to be excellent… The way the material is presented is very good, with pre-reading materials followed by a discussion with the TMS practitioner and then a mini-test to confirm my understanding. The clinic visit is an essential element – it is really helpful to have felt TMS for myself so I can describe it to my patients.  And discussing case studies of patients treated with TMS for different conditions was very informative (and the results are impressive!).

Overall, the training was very accessible and better than most that I have done.  It is well worth the time invested”.
