Smart TMS has opened its second clinic location this year, bringing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation treatment to patients based in Bristol.
This location also makes rTMS treatment more accessible for those based in the Cotswolds, the South West of England and South Wales.
The new rTMS clinic will be providing non-invasive treatment for depression and addiction, using magnetic stimulation as an alternative to medication or more invasive treatments.
In addition, TMS treatment will be available for a selection of other conditions OCD, PTSD, insomnia and more.

“Our first TMS clinic opened in London in 2015. Since then, people have become more aware of the treatment and we’ve received enquiries from people around the UK – indeed, we’ve had quite a number from overseas too.
“We’ve therefore worked hard to expand our network. In 2017, we opened clinics in Birmingham and Dublin. This year, we’ve already opened two clinics – Manchester and now Bristol. We have more in the pipeline.
“TMS was approved by NICE as a treatment for severe depression back in 2015. The approach uses magnets, not medicine, to help treat depression; which is very attractive to those who have not found traditional treatments to be effective or struggled with unpleasant side-effects from antidepressants.
“rTMS treatment relies on daily sessions over a few weeks, so we are working hard to build a national network so that more people can access this life-changing treatment.”
