What to expect from TMS Treatment
“For patients come for TMS treatment for depression, they can expect to have treatment lasting between 3 and 6 weeks. Typically a session of treatment will last about 37 minutes and will be done once per day.
“They are able to drive and work after treatment because it doesn’t affect them, doesn’t affect their function. When they get used to treatment they can often read or watch television during the course of the treatment.”
When will patients see the results?
“Patients usually start seeing the results with TMS within 2-3 weeks
“Typically what will happen is there will be a brightening of mood, an increase in positivity, we notice an increase in communication.
“We use various psychometric measures to test whether people are improving in mood.”
