YouTube star Dodie Clark has shared her struggle with depersonalisation disorder with her fans.
The singer/vlogger often speaks about her struggle with mental health on YouTube and Instagram in order to break down the stigma of mental health issues and show her fans that it is okay to talk about things and seek help.
This summer, she started treatment with TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) therapy for DPD.

In this video from July 2016, prior to treatment with TMS, Dodie shares how depersonalisation disorder makes her feel.
“I’m so tired, I’m just so tired, I feel like I’ve been awake for 4 days and I don’t feel like I’m here I feel like I’m drunk, like I’ve had 3 wines and shots and beer and I’m tired and ready to go home, and I can’t talk to anyone because I’ve forgotten how I usually talk. I know it even looks like me, everything is so wrong and weird and scary. I honestly think I’m going mad, I can’t stop crying, I’ve got such a bad head.”

Depersonalisation Disorder
DPD is a recognised a mental health condition which leaves people feeling disconnected from the world, estranged from themselves and spaced out. It is often linked to depression and anxiety.
TMS Treatment for DPD
After struggling with the condition for a couple of years, Dodie had Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation treatment for depersonalisation disorder treatment took place at Smart TMS in London.
TMS uses electromagnetic pulses to target the specific area of the brain thought to be causing the problem.
