NHS Patient Partnership Programme
Based on analysis developed with Northamptonshire NHSFT, Smart TMS can save a typical Mental Health Trust around 45% of its annual expenditure on these patients and the initial treatment has a pay-back period within the annual budget cycle.
We have been working extensively with Dr Alex O’Neill Kerr at Northamptonshire NHS Foundation Trust to develop our proposition for the NHS and we are now looking for further partners who want to offer this additional treatment to their patients.
Smart TMS have set up a Patient Partner Programme to treat an initial cohort of patients on a success basis, the Trust only pays for those patients that achieve remission.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) has been approved by NICE for the safe and effective treatment of depression since 2015.
A massive 75% of the patients we’ve treated for depression have experienced a significant reduction in their symptoms, with 60% going into remission – meaning they’re no longer clinically depressed.
Plans to help more patients
We were the first UK clinic to offer Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation therapy for anything other than depression. We now treat patients with addictions and other mental health conditions – as well as depression – from our network of private clinics across the UK and Ireland.
We plan to grow and expand so that we can help as many people as possible, and we continue to review research on this innovative treatment so we can offer our patients the best chance of a full recovery.
Depression is treatable and Smart TMS can help.
